We’ve slowed quite a bit because it’s hot out and people are getting hot in and slowing down. A billion points is within reach...

My 1070 finally picked up some work, though my machine with the 5500 is struggling , need to take a peek at that sometime.

I’m still hanging in there. It looks like my VMs have settled into a fairly consistent rhythm.
Slow and steady will win the race now that all the hot rods are getting too hot!

Yeah, it’s coolish here with the highs only ~80 the next few days so I’ll let my workstation f old overnight so that should be good for a couple hundred thousand points a day more than just my server. I only imagine that’ll hold a short while longer though.
I’m still blown away with what we’ve done so far! What are we 7 weeks into this and ranked 370 in overall team points!

We’re sitting on 11.3M, and seemed to have racked up a lot of points in the last couple of days. However, you are pulling away. You were a steady 3M ahead of us, but now your stretching your lead a bit.

I’m back to working in the office, and I don’t like to run my home PC while I’m not there sooooo......
My numbers are way down.....

It’s been crazy hot in Ottawa and since I’m working from home I’ve been running A/C 24/7. Luckily I have a small place so it’s not expensive to keep cool, but that plus the 24/7 folding has got me wondering what my next hydro bill will look like.

I managed to adjust my global profile settings on my Vega Frontier Edition, and now fan profiles are working properly. Meaning, my GPU isn’t throttling itself nearly as much when it hits 80C. Computer stability has improved somewhat as well.
Let’s see where we get with this.

I wish I had a GPU worth folding on. I have an HP server that can throw 12 cores of CPU , but no GPU ,so if I get 1 work unit I’m lucky.

While I was gone to training this week with the 2 most powerful of the 3 systems I use down, I hit 100 oppo flops. That’s crazy.

I might have a chance of catching up! I’m about to move so my new graphics card purchase is on hold.

And It would be loud and generate a lot of heat. Is there room in the case for a big GPU? You can buy a 1060 for a hundred bucks.

You are. I was 16m ahead on Sunday and now I’m 13m. I dunno if I’m going to continue going full blast, 100m seems like a great landmark, and as a team we’ve really made progress. I’ve gotten an electric bill the past couple months where I usually have a credit from the solar, and we haven’t been driving the Volt much so it’s not even contributing to the power draw.

It actually runs 24/7 as is, and isn’t that loud.it’s PCIe bay isn’t exactly roomy though.

I haven’t even looked at my electric bill yet, I’m scared haha. I will probably tone it down a little until I know what I’m going to be spending on electricity a month in the house we are getting. It should be a lot less because it’s around 40 years newer, if not 50.
